Do you feel limited by your limitations? Do you feel constrained by your constraints?

What I mean is, do you find yourself not trying to make changes in your lifestyle because the goal you *think* you want to achieve is out of reach?

For example - you see someone on FB or Instagram, and they're doing something like deadlifting 500 pounds. You think "I am too old to ever lift 500; therefore there is no point in my starting to deadlift."

Which is dead wrong.

We all have limitations. We can't control most of them. But we can maximize the potential within those limitations.

All we have to do is get a little bit better each time we try. An change of 1% per day (in effort, time, weight, whatever) becomes a 3778% improvement in a year (I got help with the math).

Now that doesn't mean that starting with lifting 1 pound that I'll hit 3,778 pounds in a year. That is a limitation I cannot get around.

But that doesn't mean I'm not going to keep moving forward, and getting a little bit better each time, and maximize my potential within my limitations.

I doubt at 52(ish) that I'm going to hit 500 pounds anytime soon. But I'm going to act like I can.

Do you have a goal that you feel is beyond your ability, so you haven't worked toward it? Why not? What's your limiting belief?
